Murgas contest - 3rd Round

The murgas have thousands of followers in the carnival. Their songs comment ironically and critically on the various social and political events of the year. These groups take part in the festival’s most high-profile events, in the main parade and street bands. The Carnival awards prizes to the best murgas in a competition held on the Parque Santa Catalina stage.
